Why I have a coach

When I started taking coaching classes, the instructors told us that we should have coaches. That working with a coach was a great way to learn about coaching. And that by working with a coach on our own “stuff”, we’d be better prepared to work with our clients on their “stuff”.

But I didn’t feel like I needed help. I thought I could figure it all out on my own. I thought, I’m doing good. I don’t need a coach. I mean, I am a coach. What’s a coach going to do for me that I can’t do for myself? I’ve got it all covered. Besides, I don’t really have a problem that needs fixing right now so I don’t really need a coach. Right?

Yeah, not so much.
